Leather soles. In original box ( as found- some boxes don't correspond to shoe or size, but they are all walk-over boxes). Box has great graphics!. Stamped with "Walk Over" inside and outside on the sole.. Truly a great shoe from the era
This is part of a collection we recently procured from Carey's Shoe Store, a store that was established in 1919 in Charlevoix, Michigan. The family recently decided to let go of the remaining stock of the store, about 150 pairs, most new and in their original boxes. We will be listing them over the next few months.
Marked Size: 37, which corresponds with a modern 6.5. Comparing to a modern shoe of the same size, it looks about right.
Measured length inside, heel to toe: 9 1/4"
Width across bottom: 2 3/4"
Heel: 2 1/8"
Condition: Deadstock, and supple enough to wear. Flaw is that the patent has some dull spots very minimal. They are completely wearable .
Note:we do not guarantee that these shoes will hold up for any period of time. They are old, but in excellent condition structurally. However, theres no way to know their future. In this box is included a paper entitled" Guaranteeing Shiny shoes is Inviting Trouble" interesting read!
